At Tecoma Preschool the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children is our highest priority.  

Tecoma preschool has zero tolerance for child abuse. We are committed to providing a child safe environment where every child feels respected, valued and protected from harm. We actively work to create a culture of safety by promoting children's rights, listening to children's voices, and ensuring all children can participate confidently and safely, and are empowered to know their rights and to participate in decisions that impact them.

Tecoma preschool is committed to:

- Embedding the National Child safe principles and the Child safe standards into our everyday practice, and ensure our educational program and practice are aligned with these standards.

- Embedding child safety into our leadership, governance, policies, Philosophy and everyday practice.

- Creating environments where children feel culturally, emotionally and physically safe.

- Supporting the participation and inclusion of all children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, children with a disability, and children who identify as LGBTQIA+
- Responding promptly and appropriately to any concerns, complaints, disclosures, or allegations relating to child safety.

Tecoma Preschools commitment to child safety is communicated to children, families, staff, and the broader community and is reviewed regularly to ensure it remains effective and aligned with best practice.
